Ok.. lets start at Sat 3:00 PM in the afternoon,,,
I went 2 Sheethal's Home.. thats around 15 min drive 4m where I stay.. I went there because we had planned we will have a pool(snooker) tournament ... last time i defeated her 18-2 .. so she wanted revenge.. just to let you know Sat was very cloudy here.. while I was going there.. it started raining... (got my 1st experience driving in rains..!! never knew there was lots to come..!!)
When I reached there they (Sheethal and her 2 roomies..) had plans of going 2 a grocery store to get all the food items for the month... so drove them 2 a nearby grocery store.. got all the stuffs.. (To me it looked like a years supply.. anyways..) then they suggested we all go to a famous Indian chat house which has very good chat items... and Sheethal knew the route...!!! So I started.. Man !!..... she told all the wrong directions possible... we were going in exactly the opposite direction most of the times.. and it was raining heavily all the time... finally after N number of U turns reached the chat house.. had the chat and retured bak... that was also quite a journey... finally went to the pool centre in her apartment and barely we had played 5 games that she got a call that some of her office mates were planning to go 2 a movie.. (Bourne Ultimatum..) and so... plans of movie in the nite were made.. movie started at 10:45 PM so by the time I dropped them (after the movie) at their apartment .. it was around 1:30 AM.. said Bye 2 all of them and started on my way bak 2 my apartment......
I have 2 take a higway enroute... and it started raining even more heavily... while I was returning back.. all the side and bak view mirrors got fogged .. I cud barely see what wes in front of me... but managed to drive ... and finally reached my apartment... got out of the car and ran in the rain to my main gate....
and the story starts 4m here.....
I was standing in front of the main gate serching for the door keys in my pocket... everything 4m cigarettes ..lighter.. papers.. chewing gum..came out ...except the Keys.....!!!!!!!!
Man... that was quite a situation... went bak 2 car to see if I had dropped them thr... but it wasn't there... so I thought of calling Sheethal and ask if I left my keys thr....
But where do I find a phone 2 call 4m...??? the rain gods took a slight break..(instead of pouring it started drizzling..). and I went out on foot trying to find sm1 nearby... saw a car coming with a lady at the drinving wheel... and she was talking on a mobile... GOD... I was so happy 2 see her... thought i can ask her 4 some help... she was parking her car... So I went near her car..(by the way.. it was already past 2:00 AM in the night at that time..) said hello 2 her... and she ... kept staring at me... when I said Hello again she starting showing NO... NO signs with her hand 4m inside ...and started her car again and went off....!!!!
Wow... so here I am in the nite .. no keys.. no help... what 2 do...???
I knew there is a 24 hr shop called Dominick's nearby... so got bak 2 car and drove 2 that place...
Found some really helpful employees there... who told me there was a pay phone just outside the shop... and what a time 2 run out of coins...!!! But thankfully had some cash in my purse.. got the change from the shopkeepers.. and dialled Sheethal's number... and she didn't answer...!!! the call went 2 her voice mail... I left a voice message.. and told her 2 look around 4 the keys.. if she can find them... hung up....
I lit a cigarette and sat on 1 of the chairs around and was thinking of where I cud have left them.. I never took them out.. so there was very less chance of them being at Sheethal's house... then IT CAME....!! I thought of the time when after the movie got over, I told them 2 stay at the enterance and went all alone to get the car 4m the parking lot... it was raining so I ran... and when near the car took out the car keys.. in a hurry..... my room keys were also in the same pocket... So i may have dropped them there... !!!
And Sheethal was also asleep..(atleast I thought so..cause the phone was not answered and went to voice mail everytime...) So I made up my mind to sleep in the car itself for the nite... and would get a dupclicate key 4m the leasing office next morning... before leaving 4m the shop I tried calling Sheethal 1ce more but it again went to the voice mail... so Just left her the message to look out for keys... and started on my way bak 2 my apartment... parked the car in front of my room..(it never looked cosier..than that 4m outside...!!!) and went to the bak seat ... took off the shoes... locked the doors... and tried 2 sleep there....
I must say it was very beautiful though.... I could hear the rain spalshing all over ... it rained heavily 4 some time then again drizzled 4 some time... dark all around.... just the water streaks on all the windows.... I was almost enjoing it.... I tried 2 sleep and just thought wat if... some 1 in the morning sees me in the car and thinks me as a dead body and calls 911 for the cops....
I was just imagining my self being woken up in the morning by the cops knocking at my window.....
then there it came.... some one was knocking at my window... it was barely 30 min ... and I was still wide awake... who cud that be...??? looked out of the window... and there... he was....
Senthu....!!!! (Of of the friends who went to Wisconsin with us... a giant .. a gentle giant I should say...) I opened the doors... He was there standing in the rain asking me to get to his car.....
Then I again got up wore my shoes... and rushed to his car ... and we were driving to his house...
then he told me that Sheethal had called him up... and told him about everythg.... It turned out when I was calling her she was on some other call so my calls went to voice mail every time... but when she got the message she called up Senthu... and told him everything.. and that Guy woke up 4m his deep sleep..(I know how much he loves to sleep...!!) walked out in rain and came all the way 2 my place ....
Finally spent SAT nite at his place... and got the Duplicate keys.. SUN morning.....
But then imagine... what a friendship day it was... a friend coming 2 rescue me from my musical nite..at around 3:30 AM...!!!
